Exhibition – Street Photography 2020

Photographs depicting street life are always an interesting topic, both for the photographers and for the viewers. Scenes from every day life pass in front of our eyes, showing us familiar situations or, (very often) completely unknown ones. Cities and small towns are presented through these photographs and they have been enriched by the specific atmosphere that they carry. The mood of the people on that specific moment the photograph was taken tells us a whole story. The weather conditions on that specific day can make us feel the atmosphere of the moment. Every single detail of the photograph has something to add to the story the photographer is telling using that picture.

Street Photography appeals to people who are keen on photography. Everyday scenes are always interesting as they remind all of us familiar situations. It is always interesting to be able to compare life among different cities. Some things are the same and some others are totally different. In this exhibition, recent situations are presented, showing a reality that outdates the most vivid imagination. Photographs of cities completely empty of people are next to ones showing cities full of life. The comparison between the past and the present is obvious and the feelings so complex. No one could have ever imagined experiencing situations like the ones we experienced a few months ago and are displayed in this exhibition among other Street photographs.
