Aydin Sadikhov BAKU: The city where Tradition meets with the Modern
Exhibition Duration:
30 March – 5 April 2018
The Photo Exhibition “BAKU : The city where Tradition meets with the Modern” is designed in order to acquaint people with the ancient and the modern history of the city
Baku – the capital of the Azerbaijan Republic, is a city which combines ancient history and tradition with modern architecture and development. It has become one of the most beautiful capital cities of the region and is also renowned for its urban culture, modernity and beauty.
The city dates back to the Ancient times and there are a lot of historical and architectural monuments that belong to different periods of history.
During the last years Baku has been transformed into a big metropolis with a lot of Modern buildings some of which have become symbols of the city. While it is generally considered that new and modern buildings destroy the character of a city, this rule does not apply in Baku. An incredible harmony that exists between the ancient and the modern has made it unique and beautiful. A city where antiquity and the classical blend harmoniously with the latest architectural achievements.
