Exhibition – By the Way

Where are they going?
What are they looking at?
What are they thinking about?

« By the way » is a humanist black and white street photography series, inspired by André Kertesz and Walker Evan’s work.

It is a tribute to loneliness, melancholy, and dreams of these anonymous women, men and children one can meet in the street every day.
It is also about those workers we pass by every day in the city, cogs of a huge social machine, construction workers and businessmen united in lonely labour, both lost in a standardized flow of instructions and habits, with stereotyped and conventional gestures.
The city, built by and for them, eventually becomes an autonomous and polymorphous monster that absorbs them all.

« By the way » is a stroll and a daydream.

« By the way » is a daily search of human being in the crowd.
