Photography exhibition Exhibition Duration: 14 February – 5 March 2015 «The lines on a face can never lie. Lines formed up, down, left and right. With enough pressures in life, the lines are forced to be deeper, curved or bent. What causes these changes? Is it the environment, decades of wear and tear? Or are they the expressions of a soul? I’m fascinated by the stories that come from these lines of wisdom. Beauty is not always held in youth.» This series of photographs presents people whose facial expressions show joy, sadness or introversion. There are many contradictory emotions very clear in these faces. Photographs of both ordinary and extraordinary people, the photographic lens has given them a different substance. Faces which, although being contemporary, carry something from the past and have managed to draw our attention through the lens. |
