Zalman Shklyar Color rendering
9 March – 15 March 2018
Zalman Shklyar specializes in Street Photography. For the past 20 years, he has never separated his camera, trying to portray moments that quickly dissolve in the vanity of the city.
Although he lives in Moscow, his photographs and reports are scattered all over Europe. He manages to reveal the metaphysical concept Street Photography implies through contrast and detailed perspective in his photos.
He believes that he does not create the image himself, but he acts as a kind of “filter” that releases everything that passes through him. He believes that the main thing in photography is not creativity but understanding. “When the viewer tries to unerstand the photo, then the image is successful.”
